Blago!!

Uh, Ladies, I don't know if you heard, but Blago was arrested yesterday. And not only that, but the removal of him from office is probably going to take way too much money and time. Isn't anyone outraged or just really excited for something to fill your political junkie low?! HEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOO!!!!

At the very least tell everyone to check out John Stewart's coverage of the excitement over the last few days because it's entertaining, to say the least.

Oh, yea, and I gave everybody admin priv so hopefully you can post with freedom now.

a close call

Ok, so maybe philosophy isn't our thing. We've established what the mccabesisters blog is not great at: answering the most difficult, painful questions that exist.

It's good to flesh these things out early. We don't want to give people the wrong idea. Really, it's a good thing that no one answered with something life changing, or this blog would just be going down a road that we did NOT anticipate.

Good work sisters. Crisis averted.

Help me Understand

As some of you may already know, Ryan Coe is battling for his life. I hope that you all can take one moment of your time to pray for him. As a friend of Michele's, I cannot begin to express my deep sadness about what this must be like for her, a mom. I know that we have all suffered tragedy in our lifetime and I know that death is inevitable for all of us. But I don't understand why a mother loses her child; her teenage child at that. And how, then, does she go on believing that God had a plan; and what possible plan could that be when someone so young and innocent is taken from you. I am so sad for Michele and I cannot begin to fathom how she has, or can continue to believe that God is good. There have been times when I have questioned my own faith, and ultimately I continue to believe. But this has hit me so hard. My heart aches for her and at the same time I feel guilty or selfish for praising God that I have two healthy children. And I DO praise God every single day. Why are we so blessed only to know that in an instant our blessings can be taken away? I just don't get it.

ok, question. what is the difference between a follower and a contributer?

confusion

OK, i think i am in now. however, I am unsure about titles, posting, the whole structure of the blog. i am sure i will put things in the wrong place but i will persevere. what a great idea! a place for the sisters to talk all the time to each other and everybody else, instead of only on the second saturday. (like we weren't doing that already)

I'm in.

Hey, I'm in. And I did it all by myself!! Now, lets see if I can think of something to say that will be memorable. Nope, can't right now. But, there's HOPE. The new feeling for all of us now. I'll put my thinking cap on ( or just drink more coffee) and be back later.

Aesthetics and Directions

I'm sure I don't have to say this, but be sure to share your feelings about the look of the page if the colors give you a headache or the font is too small. warning - I might feel compelled to change the colors based on the holidays. In reflection, I realize that this is completely inline with sister habits. hehe. sister habits.

ok, it's late.

one more thing. If any of you are unfamiliar with how this works.. Click on the title of the post to see the comments displayed with the post. Comment to your heart's content. And all the sisters can be contributors if you want. (That means you can write your own post.) I'll work on making that a possibility. One more thing, you can add a link to an article/video/picture in a comment or a in a post. I will move these links to the side where we have links to interesting things under the title EMPHATIC. We can also add a section for photos. I'll work on that too.

The Beginning

..of the sisters on the web! At least in this kind of focused, long-term manner. Certainly no one could keep the sisters OFF the web. And let's face it: the volume of their discourse is such that the web has probably already heard their cries and proclamations, laptop handy or not.

But now their discussions will be...
ok, wait. In the spirit of this blog, I am writing this while watching John Stewart and Bill O'Reilly banter and I cannot concentrate on the quality of this post. Does John Stewart actually think he can convert O'Reilly or convince him that the majority of Americans DO want change and CAN think for themselves? And what IS O'Reilly smoking? How can he be so successful when he just talks at people? Unbelievable...

ok, where was I? Oh, yes, the McCabe women cannot be silenced. I think that was mostly my point. Have I made it?
